triglycerides

I’ve been sorting out my two boxes of random papers. In doing so, came across a scrap of paper with a note to self that is well worth remembering, especially when tempted to purchase (and eat!) chocolate mint slice. I cannot remember where it came from, other than it was page 8.

elevated triglycerides in the blood have been positively linked to heart disease – they come from eating any excess sugars not used for energy – made in the liver – source of excess sugar is any food containing carbs, especially refined sugar and white flour

Recently I’ve been thinking about what little steps I can take to improve our eating habits. Perhaps a good one would be OBSERVE SUGAR INTAKE AND THEN ADJUST ACCORDINGLY
