Minestrone Soup

What will it take to convince you kids that this soup is pronounced minny-strone-y, and not mine-strone???

1 onion, chopped
1/2 C celery, chopped
1T parsley, copped
   Saute 3-5 minutes

225g tomato, chopped (or out of a tin)
225g cabbage, chopped
1 potato, chopped
1 carrot, grated
1 clove gralic, crushed
125g pasta

1l stock
  Add slowly
   Cook 30 minutes

25g Parmesan cheese, grated
   Add and serve
