Chocolate Self-Saucing Pudding

Isn’t winter a good time for hot chocolate pudding?
Actually, isn’t any time? In fact, it’s even good cold.

440g flour
1/2T salt
1 1/2 T baking powder
1 1/2 T cocoa
375g shakkar
   Combine

140g butter, melted
2t vanilla
450ml milk
   Add to above
   Spread into a greased dish

300g brown sugar
1 1/2 T cocoa
   Sprinkle over

3C (750ml) boiling water
   Pour over carefully
   Bake at 180ºC for 40-60 minutes

  1. Rach – the lentil burger recipe – can you suggest anything to substitute for the breadcrumbs? I am trying to avoid too much carbohydrate. Guess I could add grated carrot, zuchini etc? Is it just bulk the b/c provide in the recipe?

  2. Rob says, “More meat”!!!! I’d try either of your suggestions, with perhaps a bit more bran if it’s a bit wet. Let me know how it goes! Possibly you could increase the lentil quantity – or use chickpeas or something for a different flavour.
