sweet versatility

Don’t you love recipes that can be this or that depending on how the mood strikes? Here’s one such delight.

1/2 C fruit juice (any sort, you choose)
1/2 C milk
   Gently heat in a saucepan, then cool slightly

1C wholemeal flour
1C mixed dried fruit
1t baking powder
   Add and mix.
   Spoon into either two greased fruit loaf tins or a pudding basin,
   cover with foil and secure with string.
   Steam for one hour in a suacepan of boiling water.
   Serve as a pudding….or a cake….or fruit loaf.
