“Grandma’s Fruit Cake”

What you don’t get from an online recipe collection are those treasured pieces of paper with handwritten recipes from grandparents and other special friends.

But, then again…..

200g dried fruit
420g tin fruit salad in natural juice
2C dates or apricots, chopped
1C fruit juice
   Boil together for 10 minutes, cool for 5 minutes

1/4t baking soda
2C self-raising flour
(OR 2C standard flour and 2t baking powder)
   Mix well and put in lightly sprayed 20cmx 7cm tin
   Bake 45-60 minutes at 150°C (fanbake)
   Enjoy!!
