granola mix

We don’t often use this recipe, but it’s a goodie.
We got it in Poland way back in the early 90s from Suzie.
Quantities have been decimalised metricated unAmericanised converted to metric

10C rolled oats
1C wheatgerm
200g coconut
2C sunflower seeds
1C sesame seeds
3C chopped nuts

1 1/2C brown sugar
1 1/2 C water
1 1/2C olive oil
1/2C honey
1/2C molasses
1 1/2t salt
2t cinnamon
3t vanilla
Heat until sugar dissolves – do not boil
Pour over the dry ingredients and stir well
Spread into 5 13″x9″ trays
Bake 20-30 minutes at 160ºC, stirring occasionally
Bake up to another 15 minutes, until crunchy

Dried fruit as desired
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place
