ba-choco-mole

“Intriguing,” Father Bear conceded.

When you open up the avocadoes and they’re all grotty, first thought is to head them towards the compost.
But there’s something inside me that holds back from such a wasteful course of action. You’d think I grew up in the Depression, but I’m not That Old;-)
And so the avocadoes came to a much more tasty end.
Along with the equally grotty bananas.

4 avocadoes
2 bananas
2C dates, soaked in water for a few hours
a very very generous squirt of golden syrup
a meagre dash of vanilla
4 incredibly heaped teaspoons of cocoa powder, and then some

All whizzed up in Grandpa’s food processor
Chilled
Eaten with delight
Declared “a gastronomic conundrum,” by said Grandpa
He also added that if I were to post this one on the blog it would prove some recipes are intended to be read for amusement. Doesn’t sound like he’ll be keen to try tonight’s version, which is all of the above PLUS half a cup of peanut butter as well, and frozen for a couple-a days! Sounds like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups to me.
